New to Adventure Racing and multi sport events\, then give it a go with the DAR mini\, this will give you a taste of running\, biking\, kayaking and the atmosphere that is invloved at these great events. You don’t have to be very fit for the mini\, just willing to give it a go. Couse for the mini is; 1km run Dingle Marina to kayak\, 1km sea kayak\, cycle to Ventry 7km\, Run Ventry beach 5km\, Cycle back to Dingle 6km\, 1km Run to Finish. DAR Sport takes a spectacular route around the western point of the Dingle Peninsula. DAR Sport starts with short run to kayak\, where you will kayak 1km in single sea kayaks around Dingle Harbour. On your bike heading West passing Ventry and around the stunning Slea head\, at Dunquin you cycle up the steep Mam Clasack\, then run up the Mountain track to the summit of Mt Eagle and back. We’ll take you on a demanding adventure through the spectacular and of Snowdonia Forest Park. \nQuest BETWS Y COED is a one-day multi adventure sport race and is part of the Quest Adventure Series UK. The race involves running\, cycling and kayaking across the spectacular mountains\, valleys and lakes of Snowdonia Forest Park. Choose from 3 challenging routes\, in one of the most epic location in Wales- Mini 23km\, Sport 38km and the Expert 50km. \nThis race gives competitors the chance to run\, cycle and kayak some of the most dramatic\, breath taking and remote scenery in the world. \nWhen\n8th of June 2019 \nWhere\nBetyws Y Coed\, Wales \nROUTE INFORMATION & PRECAUTIONS\n\nThe Quest Betws Y Coed team has put together a route that is both challenging and inspiring incorporating the rugged welsh landscape and breath taking scenery. \nThere are 3 different route options:\nExpert 50k – Sport 38k – Mini 23k \nPrecautions\nCompetitors undertake Quest Betws Y Coed Adventure Race at their own risk. \nPlease familiarize yourself with the route maps\, race briefing document and the areas on the route where care must be taken. Please observe warning signs\, race stewards advice and listen carefully to the race briefing before the race. \n*All routes are subject to change\, statutory approval and license agreements. \n\n\n  \n50K EXPERT ROUTE INFORMATION \n  \n50K EXPERT ROUTE INFORMATION\n\nThe race consists of the following 6 stages: \nStage 1: Trail Run – 8km\nDescription: Starting in Betws-y-Coed town centre\, this stage will take you through a tough steep mountain trail towards Llnc Parc lake.\nTerrain: Hill trail. \n\nStage 2: Cycle – 11km\nDescription: Description: Pick your bike up at the transition area and start this amazing cycle on the B5106 heading towards the picturesque town of Llanrwst. Turn left before you enter the town in the direction of Llyn Geirionydd Lake. On this stage you will encounter steep fast downhill cycling with sharp corners as you negotiate your way through this challenging section.\nTerrain: Sealed road\, varying in quality. \n\nStage 3: Kayak – 1km\nDescription: Kayak a circular route around the spectacular clear waters of Glyn Geirionydd Lake on double sit-on-top kayaks.\nRestrictions: Competitors cannot bring their own kayaks they must use those provided. Buoyancy aid must be worn at all times during the kayak stage. \n\nStage 4: Trail Run – 9km\nDescription: After the kayak competitors follow a marked trail anti-clockwise around Clyn Crafnant and back to the kayak transition area.\nCompetitors will embrace the panoramic views across the Snowdonia National Park.\nTerrain: Walking trail\, stone path\, forest track\, mountain track of good to rough quality with slippery muck and rock sections. \n\nStage 5: Cycle – 14km\nDescription: You will proceed to cycle from the kayak transition area back to the Betws-y-Coed area.\nTerrain: Sealed road\, varying in quality.. \n\nStage 6: Trail Run – 7km\nDescription: Competitors will drop their bikes at the transition area and continue by foot along a marked trail.
