DESCRIPTION:BRIEF COURSE DESCRIPTION \nCompetitors will be bused down from The Avon to the race start at Russelstown’s Bay. \nStage 1. RUN 5Km\nRun on Blessington Greenway \nStage 2. CYCLE 28km\nSealed roads all the way. You will see beautiful views overlooking the Blessington lakes on your left-hand side\, \nStage 3. KAYAK 1Km\nIt’s onto the historically steeped Blessington Lakes (famous for its story telling of big fish and bigger ghosts) Just a short paddle triangular to the shore before heading to the finish line at the Avon. If you are new to kayaking\, perhaps our “Toe in The Water” special\, closer the day will help you get a feel for kayak paddling. SUMMARY:The MAD Adventure Race
DESCRIPTION:****FINAL DETAILS TO BE CONFIRMED**** \nThe Milford and District Adventure Race Donegal also known as MAD\, is an Adventure Race for all levels set in the heart of Donegal\, just 10 minutes from Letterkenny. The event offers 2 courses to challenge all capabilities and expectations\, a 29k Sprint course or the ultimate 59k full course. The Sprint course starts of with a fast 5k run\, followed by a 1k kayak around the extraordinary island on Mulroy Bay. This is then followed by a scenic country side cycle on tarmac roads through kerrykeel making their way back to Milford via Ray over a 22k cycle where competitor’s finish with a 1k run back to base at the Milford park. The Full course begins with a 10k run\, followed by a 2k kayak around the spectacular island’s of Mulroy Bay. Competitors then take on a more challenging 43k Cycle taking in the Famous Knockalla Climb allowing for some stunning views of Donegals Wild Atlantic Way. However mid cycle\, Competitors must complete a 3k Trail run up and around the Windmills on the breath taking Glenvar Hills before making their way back to Milford via Rathmullen for a final 1k run to the finish. Now entering its second year\, the MAD Adventure Race Donegal is already considered one of the top adventure races in Donegal and indeed the biggest scheduled for this Summer 2018 and undoubtly is set to grow in popularity. DESCRIPTION:Lilliput Adventure Race \n\nKayak across peaceful & tranquil Lough Ennell.\nCycle through the splendour of the Esker Riada & The Bog of Allen.\nRun\, jog\, walk\, climb\, over the extinct volcano that is Croghan Hill to one of Ireland’s greatest view points\n\nKayak though the crannogs of King Malachy on Lough Ennell\, Cycle through the splendor of the bog of Allen and run\, stumble\, hike\, climb\, over the extinct volcano that is Croghan Hill to one of Ireland’s greatest view points.
