All participants must bring their bikes to start line on Saturday morning. \nWhat type bike should I use?\nThe choice of bike is an individual choice. The most suitable bike would be a road bike with Gator Skin tyres and least suitable would be a Mountain Bike. \nDo I need any specialist equipment?\nApart from the basics (bike\, helmet\, running shoes) you do not need any specialist equipment. We will provide you with a kayak\, paddle and buoyancy aid. A full list of mandatory equipment is available by clicking the ‘Rules and Mandatory Kit List’ button on the left. \nDo I have to have any specialist map reading or mountain skill to compete in the race?\nNo. You will be provided with a map. The route is marked out with signs and race Marshalls will also be on hand along the route. \nWhat is your refund policy?\nWhen entering the event it is part of the terms and conditions that it is a non-refundable payment policy. \nIs there any water available along the route?\nThe exact locations of water stops will be highlighted on the map given to you at registration. You will be required to bring water with you on you for the duration of the race. There will be water available at: – Bike Transition area \nWho provides my Kayak?\nThe event organisers will provide all kayaks\, paddles and buoyancy aid. The only time out zone where competitors can be timed out while waiting for a kayak. The maximum amount of time allowed in the time out zone is 15 minutes. We encourage everybody to raise money for charity. \n\nMANDATORY KIT\n\nIt is vital that all competitors bring the following mandatory kit list with them from the start. \n\nBasic First Aid Kit (Min: 1 x Dressing Pad (field dressing)\, Bandage\, Plasters.\nMap of the route (included in your race pack).\nSurvival blanket and whistle.\nAppropriate food and drink. NO EXCUSES.\n64KM FULL & 45KM SPRINTCOURSES SPANNING WILDEST DONEGAL\nThe route takes you from the stark peaks of Glenveagh National Park via Mount Errigal to the sweeping beaches of Bunbeg. \nTRAIL AND MOUNTAIN RUNNING OR WALKING; CYCLING AND KAYAKING\nThe terrain includes rough tracks\, mountain scree\, trails\, sealed roads\, shimmering lakes and sand dunes. \nGFN ADVENTURE DUATHLON\nStay on dry land – same great routes as the Full and Sprint Courses\, just no kayaking. \nAdventure Duathlon: 62km / Sprint Adventure Duathlon: 44km \nGAELFORCE NORTH – 64KM\nTHE BREAKDOWN OF DISCIPLINE DISTANCES WITHIN THE 64KM COURSE:\n1. The boats are tandem sit-on-top kayaks. \nSTAGE 3 CYCLING (24KM)\nCycling on sealed tarmac roads through Glenveagh National Park and alongside the Derryveagh Mountains\, to Errigal Mountain \nSTAGE 4 ERRIGAL MOUNTAIN RUN/WALK (4KM)\nA marked route is followed up and down Mount Errigal. \nCompetitors must reach the base of Errigal by 1.30pm otherwise they will not be allowed to climb. \nSTAGE 5 CYCLING AND FINAL RUN (18.5KM)\nCycle to Inishcoole Beach at Bunbeg.
