DESCRIPTION:With 3 challenging routes to test you no matter what level of fitness you have. Run\, cycle and kayak across the Kenmare Bay\, Gleninchiquinn\, The Beara Peninsula\, Caha Pass and Kenmare town. \nChoose from one of the following routes:\n67k Expert\n50K Sport\n29K Challenge \n29KM CHALLENGE ROUTE INFORMATION \n29KM CHALLENGE ROUTE INFORMATION\nAll routes are subject to final permissions from statutory bodies and are subject to change \nThe race consists of the following 6 stages: \nStage 1: Cycle – 10.70km \nDescription: Starting in the Square in Kenmare Town you will proceed on bike to cycle along on the Sheen Valley and to Bonanne Hertiage Park. From here you will drop you bike at the transition area. \nTerrain: Sealed Road & secondary road. Suitable for a road bike. \nPrecautions: The roads are not closed and are open to traffic. \n  \nStage 2: Trail Run – 4km \nDescription: Drop your bike at the bike racking in transition in Bonanne Heritage Park and run 2 laps around the heritage park passing ancient ring forts and stone circles 1\,000 of years old. \nTerrain: Walking trail\, stone path. \nPrecautions: Trail runners are recommended. \n  \nStage 3: Cycle – 9.50km \nDescription: You will proceed to cycle from the transition area back the main N71 Caha Pass road across the Bridge in Kenmare. \nTerrain: Sealed Road & secondary road. Suitable for a road bike. Precautions: The roads are not closed and are open to traffic. \n  \nStage 4: Forest Trail – 2.6km \nDescription: Drop your bike at the bike racking in transition on the left-hand side as you go over the bridge in Kenmare. Proceed to run a looped trail around Reenagross and cross the road to the kayak transition at the pier \nTerrain: Flat walking trail\, forest track. \nPrecautions: Trail runners are recommended. \n  \nStage 5: Kayak – 1.0km \nDescription: Kayak on Kenmare Bay from the Pier area on Double sit on top kayaks \nRestrictions: Competitors cannot bring their own kayaks. All kayaks and equipment required are provided. Buoyancy aid must be worn at all times \n  \nStage 6: Run to Finish – 1.00km \nDescription: After finishing the kayak stage you will run down Henry Street Kenmare to a festival atmosphere at the finish line at the main Square. \n50KM SPORT ROUTE INFORMATION \n50KM SPORT ROUTE INFORMATION\nAll routes are subject to final permissions from statutory bodies and are subject to change \nThe race consists of the following 6 stages: \nStage 1: Cycle – 20km \nDescription: Starting in the Square in Kenmare Town you will proceed on bike to cycle along the stunning Ring of Beara Cycle Route and to Gleninchaquin Park and waterfall. From here you will drop you bike at the transition area. \nTerrain: Sealed Road & secondary road. Suitable for a road bike. \nPrecautions: The roads are not closed and are open to traffic. \n  \nStage 2: Trail Run – 6km \nDescription: Drop your bike at the bike racking in transition and run around Gleninchaquin Park trail over a 300ft waterfall and secret valleys. \nTerrain: Walking trail\, stone path\, forest track\, mountain track. \nPrecautions: Trail runners are recommended. \n  \nStage 3: Cycle – 19.6km \nDescription: You will proceed to cycle from the transition area back the main ring of Beara road and turn off right up an area known locally as Dromoghty and on to the N71 Caha Pass road at Releagh Bridge. \nTerrain: Sealed Road & secondary road. Suitable for a road bike. Very steep climb on this stage that will test all cyclists. \nPrecautions: The roads are not closed and are open to traffic. \n  \nStage 4: Forest Trail – 2.6km \nDescription: Drop your bike at the bike racking in transition on the left hand side as you go over the bridge in Kenmare.
