Post to Post Adventure Race

Run, Bike, Kayak from ‘Post to Post’ taking in the most spectacular scenery around the beautiful Downings & Carrigart on the Wild Atlantic Way.

The race starts under the goalposts at Pairc na nDúnaibh. The first stage is a 5.5K run up the hill, past the coast guard station from which this stage takes it’s name, down to the crossroads and back to the bike station at Pairc na nDúnaibh.

Cycle the world famous Atlantic Drive on the Rosguill peninsula overlooking the Murder Hole and Tra na Rossan, before coming down the hill, going through the townloands of Carrigart and Glen before finishing at the Boardwalk Resort.

A 2K run on the incredible Carrigart Boardwalk will take you over the Glenree river, through the dunes to Tramore beach, and back again.

Pick up your bike at the Boardwalk Resort bike station, and cycle back to Pairc na nDúnaibh through Glenree, Umlagh and Carrigart.

Starting and finishing a Downings Pier, this stage is a 1K Kayak over a course set out in the glorious Sheephaven Bay.

One last dash to the finish line over the hard packed sand of Trá Beag beach in Downings to the finish line under the posts at Pairc na nDúnaibh.
