Adventure races, are designed to push you beyond your comfort zone. And that’s not just your physical comfort zone. Also your geographical comfort zone.
For most one of the best parts of racing is the road trip. You get to go to the most remote & beautiful parts of the country. For some, it’s a weekend away from the hustle bustle of our everyday lives which, if you work in an urban sprawl or have a relentless deadline driven job, can be very welcome and is essential.
In the words of Christy Moore…Everybody needs a break, climb a mountain or jump in a lake!
This year for instance, there are races by the Lakes of Killarney, the Hills of Donegal, the Wilds of Connemara, the Garden of Ireland and the Majesty of Kinnitty Castle but to name a few. There are over 30 races on the calendar this year. Spanning the length and breath of this beautiful green isle of ours.
So with DAR Dingle in less than 24hours, we have packed the van, loaded the gear, plugged the tunes, windows down and off we go…let the fun and games begin!!!
